Geo-Instruments AMTS

The Geo-Instruments Automated Total Station (AMTS) solution is ideal when high frequency, high accuracy measurements with instant alarm notifications are needed.

The system utilizes a combination of high accuracy robotic total stations and wireless technology to make the solution effortless on the part of the client.

The AMTS system works by measuring distances and angles in the horizontal and vertical planes referenced to a fixed point at the AMTS. The AMTS will calculate it's own position by measuring distances and angles to control points strategically located outside the zone of influence. This allows the AMTS to move as part of the monitoring project.

Modern AMTS Systems use state of the art Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) technology to accurately and repeatably measure distances to the AMTS. Horizontal and vertical plane angles are controlled with magnetic drive systems, packaged in an environmental protection enclosure for weather protection.

MonStar

MonStar, a custom program jointly developed by Geo-Instruments and LandMarker Geospatial, acts as a real time monitoring interface for STAR*NET, the popular measurement adjustment package distributed by Starplus Software of Oakland, California.

The MonStar Interface Reads incoming live data from multiple robotic total stations delivered automatically into a common incoming data directory, parses the incoming data by time stamp into a separate adjustment for each reporting interval, checks for a minimum number of observations per reporting interval, converts the data to a STAR*NET compatible input format, calls STAR*NET to run a rigorous least squares adjustment on the combined data from all instruments for each reporting interval, converts the adjusted output to a format compatible with online reporting software such as Argus and archives the incoming raw data and adjustment files for review and backup purposes.

L-Bar Mini Prism

The L-Bar Mini Prism is intended for use with our I-ris automated theodolite data collection system. The prisms are installed where X, Y & Z movement is desired. Use the L-Bar Mini Prism to monitor movements on all types of structures, or geologic features, such as response of tunnels during construction, monitoring affect of adjacent construction activity in active tunnels, settlement of buildings, slab adjustments during jacking, or soil improvement operations, behavior of structural members under loads/unloading, landslides, and changes in existing structures caused by adjacent construction.

GEO Road Prism

The GEO Road Prism mounts Geo-Instruments Micro Prisms on road surfaces, sidewalks, pavement or other solid planar surfaces. It has a rugged PVC one piece construction and is used with AMTS systems to monitor displacement of inaccessible locations, such as active roads.

GEO-Track Clip - Rail Road Prism Mounting Device

The GEO-Track Clip consists of a custom formed steel clip with stainless steel socket cap screws. The Track Clip fits onto common 6inch rails and is fastened with 1/4 inch-20 SS screws to provide a positive connection to the rail. The Track Clip mounts Geo-Instruments Mini Prisms on the Rail Road Track Flange and is used with Automated Motorized Total Station systems to monitor track twist and settlement.

Laser Target Bracket

The GEO Laser Target Bracket is intended for use with our Automated Pulsed Laser Scan systems to monitor displacement of inaccessible locations, such as active roads. Typical applications include monitoring 3D movement (X, Y and Z) of structures and geologic features such as: response of tunnels and highways during construction, affect of adjacent construction activity in active tunnels or other structures, settlement of buildings, slab adjustments during jacking or soil improvement operations, behavior of structural members under loads/unloading, landslides, changes in existing structures caused by adjacent construction.

Laser Electronic Distance Measurement Placement Tool

The Laser EDM Placement Tool allows standard field portable EDM devices to be repeatably placed on structures for periodic monitoring. Accurate, robust and provides very good long-term repeatable measurements. Small bracket profile allows unobstructed access to shafts and passageways and other structural elements.
